The 2019 Seiko Monster retains the essentials of the original Monster. The new Seiko Prospex Monster SRPD27 has average proportions of 42.4mm by 13.4mm, the distinctive case shroud, the concave, 120-click bezel with indentations that align perfectly with the matching case dimples, the screw-down crown at four o'clock, and the proprietary Hardlex crystal.

Seiko SRPD27 is equipped with 4R36 movement, that offers up a 41-hour power reserve, automatic and manual winding, hacking seconds, and a day/date indicator at three o'clock.

This model also features highly luminous hands and markers treated with Lumibrite for awesome low light visibility.

SRPD27 has a black dial and is paired with one of Seiko's classic black silicone rubber straps. It's solid, it's fully integrated into the redesigned lugs thanks to a curved end-link, and it has an on-the-wrist presence unlike many other comparably priced watches.
